Victor has had more than 100.000 views in his reaction videos related to Palmeiras
Football is the most popular sport around the world. It influences people’s emotions and causes tears – either of sadness or joy -, swear words, shouts and silence. There are multiple ways of how fans can express themselves while watching their team play.

In the United States, a country where football (soccer) is far from being the main sport, there is Victor, an Arsenal and Real Madrid fan, decided to use another strategy to show his love for the game. He created a YouTube channel, called SoRetro, and started doing FIFA gameplays, but, as time passed, he decided to record his reactions while watching football.
– I started last year with FIFA gameplays, then I did some reactions by the start of 2021 with only two videos a week. I got more consistent around March or April, since i gave myself a goal by June – said Retro, as he is known, when interviewed by NOSSO PALESTRA.
Victor made videos about many different players, but his channel still received just a few views. In June, however, the content creator was suggested to react to Weverton’s best saves. And that specific video got more than 40.000 views.
– I think it was Weverton (the first Palmeiras player I reacted to). I reacted to it because someone in the comments recommended it. I had reacted to a lot of Brazilian legends on the channel before.
Since then, he started to do more reactions videos with Palmeiras’ players. From all the players that were unknown to him, two legends stood out. Victor was impressed by Marcos, the greatest goalkeeper in the club’s history, and Ademir da Guia, the best player to ever wear Palmeiras’ colors.
– I’ll say Marcos (was the one who impressed me the most), because of what he won and because he was part of the amazing Brazil team at the time. Also, he got offered to Arsenal in 2002 and turned it down. It’s hard to ask that question, because I was really impressed with Weverton.
– If i had to choose one, it would be Ademir da Guia, just because I was ‘wowed’ by him the most and his playmaking was the most impressive. Also, his ball control, dribbling and his nickname, he was trully Divine with the ball. It was pure art.
Last but not least, Victor said he wants to make more Palmeiras related videos and would like to know more about the club. Besides, he thanked all the support from the Palmeiras fans.
– Yes (I will make more Palmeiras related videos), a lot of people recommended me Palmeiras videos. And yes, I would love to learn more. I am a football fan on top of everything.
– The support means everything to me, it motivates me. I never knew it was going to blow up like it did. I just want to thank all the Palmeiras fans and the Brazilians that support me. I love football. I always say Brazilians are my favorite footballers.
Nowadays, Retro’s channel has a little over 2.000 subscribers and a total of 155.000 views. His Palmeiras related videos are responsible for roughly 70% percent of all views.
